È una fanfiction deliziosa, mai sdolcinata né tantomeno algida, ma soprattutto è valida sotto ogni punto di vista: a partire dalla narrazione, molto accurata, scorrevole e praticamente impeccabile, passando poi per i dialoghi leggeri e divertenti e terminando con i due protagonisti decisamente IC. Minerva che si lamenta dei suoi studenti e si preoccupa tanto del suo Cercatore rispecchia in pieno l'immagine che la Rowling ci ha dato di lei, così come l'ironia gentile ed onnipresente di Silente ricorda molto il Preside originale.

A questi pregi si aggiungono un'incredibile naturalezza nel raccontare di due personaggi tanto complessi, in particolar modo in una fanfiction credibile - e non è cosa da poco per una storia che parla di un periodo decisamente poco inflazionato - che li vede come protagonisti di un rapporto che va al di là della semplice amicizia, e il pieno rispetto delle consegne date ed uno sviluppo della storia d'amore decisamente originale, evitando un romanticismo troppo accentuato che sarebbe stato decisamente fuori luogo. L'attenzione non è mai calata dall'inizio alla fine, prova di una cura nei confronti della storia non indifferente: è una lettura consigliatissima anche per chi, come me, non è mai riuscito a vedere una certa concretezza nel pairing scelto.

Adoro i sombreri, ma con essi ho un rapporto ambiguo per via di una barzelletta particolarmente idiota, e devo ringraziare i miei se la conosco (evviva evviva). Ciò detto la semplice dolcezza di questa storia è meravigliosa, davvero. I protagonisti, Albus e Minerva sono deliziosamente IC, anche se quasi fatico a immaginarmi una giovane McGranitt in preda agli ormoni XD.
Gli altri insegnanti compaiono di sfondo, a volte con una sola battuta, ma aiutano a rendere perfettamente il clima che si respira ad Hogwarts.
